"Follow-Up Health Checks in Tabiteuea Boost Community Wellbeing"

ree

A health screening follow-up was carried out yesterday at Tabiteuea village in North Tarawa by a five-member team from the Kiribati SDA Mission Health Department.

The team, led by Mission Health Director Mrs. Teera Katarake, was supported by 10,000 Toes ambassadors including Kabure Kamoti, Rabwanteuea Ruata, Riatae Auatabu, Tuakabwan Tevesi, and Nawaia.

This follow-up builds on an earlier screening held in April, where more than half the village population took part.

Mrs. Teera said it was encouraging to see that several participants had improved their health conditions since the last check-up.

Another follow-up is scheduled for July, focusing on diabetes and hypertension screening.

Cooking demonstrations will also be held to teach villagers how to prepare healthy, nutritious meals.

The initiative is part of ongoing efforts to promote better lifestyle choices in the community.
