Kiribati Hope Media has experienced China's powerful contrast of tradition and technology, moving from historic landmarks to cutting-edge industry in a single day.
Their visit began in Minzhu Village—a model community in Chongqing known for its emphasis on social harmony and intergenerational living.
KHM and other media delegates had the chance to see how local residents live, work, and connect in a setting designed to reflect modern Chinese values.

From there, the group traveled to the Hongyan Revolutionary Museum, where they explored one of China’s key resistance sites during the Second World War, once home to Mao Zedong’s military operations.
The journey then leapt forward into the future at the SERES Super Factory, a state-of-the-art facility producing intelligent electric vehicles using automated robotic assembly lines.
To close the day, delegates shared a traditional hotpot meal in an unusual setting—an underground restaurant carved into a former 400-kilometer bomb shelter, offering a unique fusion of culture, history, and innovation."
