MIDLAND RESORT TABITEUEA NORTH TARAWA – April 17, 2025 — The Kiribati Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) Mission workers are at the scenic Midland Resort in North Tarawa for their annual retreat. The event will bring together the Mission Administration team, departmental directors, and office workers for a time of reflection, renewal, and fellowship amid the peaceful surroundings outside the capital.
Kiribati Mission President, Pastor Taabua Rokeatau, said the Mission has intentionally chosen the extended Easter holiday period each April as an ideal time for the team to step away from their daily responsibilities and reconnect with both nature and each other.
“The long Easter break gives us a perfect window to come out from the busyness of the office and spend time in a more peaceful environment,” said Pastor Rokeatau. “It is also a time to strengthen our unity as a team and realign ourselves with the Mission’s purpose.”
The official program begins this Morning with a short devotion and followed by a meaningful discussion on the Mission strategic plan for this final year in this quinquenniem and involve all levels of Mission staff—from the administration and departmental directors to key personnel holding essential roles within the organization including ministers on Tarawa.
The weekend’s activities are expected to include spiritual devotions, team-building sessions focused on strengthening the Mission's outreach theme for 2025 - "I will go to the Ends of the Earth."
The retreat is an annual highlight for the Mission, providing a meaningful space for spiritual renewal and organizational growth in a setting that reflects the natural beauty of Kiribati.
