🌍 87,000+ Baptized in Massive Evangelism Effort Across Inter-American Division

Chiapas, Mexico leads with 23,000 new members as local families, small groups, and guest evangelists drive historic outreach

The Seventh-day Adventist Church in the Inter-American Division (IAD) is celebrating a powerful milestone: over 87,000 people were baptized during the first four months of 2025, marking one of the most impactful evangelism initiatives in the division’s history.

The campaign culminated in a grand celebration on April 26 at the Expo Convenciones Chiapas in Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Mexico, where hundreds gathered to honor the efforts of church members, pastors, and lay leaders who had worked faithfully since late 2024.

At the heart of the campaign was Chiapas, where over 23,000 new believers joined the church in just four months. The results reflect a united movement that began with small group Bible studies and grew into a full-scale community outreach—guided by the theme “El cielo te espera” or “Heaven Awaits You.”

This evangelism wave was part of the “All the Family in Mission” initiative, a division-wide effort that mobilized families across 11,000 small groups to bring the gospel into their neighborhoods. Each group aimed to lead at least one family to study the Bible and experience transformation in their own homes.

The April campaign brought together over 130 guest evangelists, including speakers from Adventist World Radio and regional theology schools, who preached in public parks, auditoriums, churches, and community centers throughout Chiapas.

The campaign highlighted the power of local leadership, strategic training, and family-based discipleship—creating a model for evangelism that continues to inspire churches across the division.

As the church looks ahead, the impact of this initiative offers more than numbers. It tells a story of hope, unity, and the unstoppable spread of the gospel across Inter-America and beyond.
