Kiribati – Fulton Adventist University College (FAUC) is making strides in promoting its mission and educational vision, with Dr. Agnes Kola, a prominent university representative, currently in Kiribati for a five-day visit. In a special radio and Facebook live interview held today, Dr. Kola shared insights into the rich history and future direction of the institution, underscoring its significant role in Pacific education.

Established in 1905, Fulton has a history spanning over a century in providing quality education. Dr. Kola emphasized that the university's enduring presence is no accident, explaining that “God must have a reason for Fulton to be established to serve the needs of the people in the Pacific.” Her words reflect the mission-driven foundation of the institution, which has seen students from around the globe seeking an Adventist-centered education.

“Fulton is an international institution, and we are proud to have students from all over the world. It is established for a mission—first and foremost to provide education, but also to serve as a center of information, education, and ministry,” Dr. Kola stated during the interview.

She further elaborated on the university’s overarching mission to empower graduates.

According to Dr. Kola, the institution’s aim is clear: to provide quality Adventist education that nurtures dedicated service. “We are here to empower our graduates for dedicated service,” she explained, underscoring that education at Fulton goes beyond academic achievements—it is about preparing individuals for meaningful contributions to society and their communities.

Fulton Adventist University College prides itself on its strong mission to prepare students not only academically but spiritually and personally. Dr. Kola emphasized that choosing Fulton for education is a decision that will not be regretted, offering assurance to prospective students.

As Dr. Kola’s visit continues, her advocacy for the institution highlights the enduring value and mission of Fulton Adventist University College, a place where education and ministry intersect, shaping future leaders with a deep commitment to service.

During the interview, Dr. Agnes Kola made a heartfelt appeal to women, encouraging them to pursue theology at Fulton Adventist University College. She highlighted the need for more female representation in the field, noting that there are currently only a few women taking theology at the institution.

As the first woman with a doctorate in Theology in the Pacific Adventist Church and a female pastor herself, Dr. Kola emphasized the importance of women stepping into roles of leadership within the church and ministry. “We need more women in theology, and I urge young women to consider this calling,” she said. “Fulton is a place where women can thrive in their theological studies and contribute meaningfully to the spiritual and educational growth of the church and beyond.”

Dr. Kola's personal journey serves as an inspiring example for aspiring female theologians, underscoring the transformative potential of a faith-based education in empowering women to lead in faith communities.
